Getting started
From sign-up to your first job

Register in the app
Create an account in the Bakkie Hire Driver app, photograph your driving licence, scan your licence disc and choose your bakkie type.

We review your application
Our team checks your details and documents. You can see your application status in the app.

Accept jobs near you
Once you’re approved, open the app to see jobs close to you that need your size of bakkie, accept one, and complete the delivery.
What you need
Have these ready when you register
- An Android phone with a camera, and location turned on while you use the app
- A valid driving licence card (you photograph the front and back)
- Your ID document and ID number
- A half-ton, one-ton or extra-heavy bakkie with a valid licence disc (you scan its barcode)
- A clear photo of your bakkie and a profile photo of yourself
Expired licences and discs can’t be used to register. The app reminds you before either expires; if one does, your account is paused until we’ve checked the renewed document. Read how we handle your information in the driver privacy policy.
